The short version
We collect only what we need to answer you and deliver our services. We don't sell or share your personal information, we don't run ads or tracking cookies on this site, and our free tools process your files in your own browser.
This Privacy Policy explains how ByteCode Insight ("ByteCode Insight," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit bytecodeinsight.com (the "Site"), use our free tools, contact us, use our client portal at design.bytecodeinsight.com, or hire us for web design or IT services. We are based in Orlando, FL, United States.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us — by our form, email, phone call, text message or WhatsApp — we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, business name, phone number, email address, whether you have a website, a domain you're interested in, and the content of your message.
- When you become a client — project details, content and materials you send us (text, photos, logos), billing contact information and records of what we've agreed and delivered. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers; if you pay by card, the payment provider processes it under its own privacy policy.
- When you use the client portal — your email address, sign-in credentials (passwords are stored hashed by our provider, never in readable form), and the project information, previews and feedback in your workspace.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information for each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and device type. We use these logs to keep the Site secure, fix errors and understand overall traffic. They are kept for a limited period (typically around 60–90 days) and are not used to build profiles about you.
- No tracking cookies. The public Site does not use cookies, advertising pixels, analytics trackers or social media widgets. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.
2. Our free tools
- QR Code Generator and Image Compressor run entirely in your browser. The text you type and the photos you choose are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else's.
- Domain Name Checker. To check availability, your browser sends the domain name you enter directly to the official domain registries that operate each ending — for example Verisign (.com, .net), Public Interest Registry (.org), GoDaddy Registry (.biz), Identity Digital (.info, .pro) and Radix (.store, .online, .site). Like any website, those registries receive your IP address with the request. We do not receive or store your searches. If you click "Get a free homepage mockup," the domain you chose is added to the contact form so we know what you're interested in.
- Website Check (when available). The website address you enter is sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights service to measure speed and mobile usability, under Google's privacy policy. Enter only public website addresses.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- reply to your questions and prepare your free mockup and quotes;
- provide, maintain and support the websites and IT services you purchase, including hosting and care plans;
- run the client portal and send sign-in links and project updates you request;
- send invoices, keep business and tax records, and meet legal obligations;
- keep the Site, our tools and our systems secure and prevent abuse;
- improve our services, based on overall, non-identifying patterns.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Calls, texts and WhatsApp
If you call, text or message us, we'll reply using the same channel or the one you ask us to use. Submitting our contact form is not consent to marketing text messages, and we do not send automated marketing calls or texts. If you ever receive a message from us you don't want, reply STOP or tell us, and we'll stop. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and messages you send there are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to provide their service to us:
| Provider type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Website hosting (IONOS) | Hosting the Site and its server logs |
| Client portal backend (Supabase) | Portal accounts, sign-in emails and project data |
| Email and phone/messaging providers | Receiving and answering your messages |
| Form-handling service (if enabled) | Delivering contact form submissions to our inbox |
| Hosting, domain and software vendors for client sites | Delivering the services you purchase |
| Payment processors | Processing payments you make |
| Accountants and professional advisors | Bookkeeping, tax and legal compliance |
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of our clients, the public or ByteCode Insight, or in connection with the sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
6. How long we keep information
- Inquiries that don't become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records and invoices: for as long as we work together and afterward as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to 7 years).
- Client portal accounts: until you ask us to close your account or the project ends, plus a short period for backups.
- Server logs: as described in section 1.
7. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption, security headers, access controls that limit portal data to its owner, and hashed passwords. No system is 100% secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 501.171) and any other applicable law.
8. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information (we may keep what we're legally required to keep, such as invoices);
- stop contacting you.
Send your request to admin@bytecodeinsight.com or call (407) 431-2734. We'll respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for making a request. Some state privacy laws (such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or the California Consumer Privacy Act) apply only to much larger businesses; we offer these choices to everyone anyway.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because the Site does not track you across other websites or sell personal information, there is nothing for these signals to switch off. We treat them as a request not to be tracked, which matches what we already do.
9. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults and businesses. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Visitors outside the United States
We are located in the United States and store information here (and wherever our service providers operate). By using the Site, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
11. Links to other websites
Our Site links to other websites, including portfolio projects and third-party services. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make significant changes, we'll highlight them on this page.
