Accessibility Statement

The short version

We want everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. If anything gets in your way, tell us and we'll fix it or help you another way.

Our commitment

ByteCode Insight is committed to making bytecodeinsight.com accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and we follow the same practices in the websites we build for our clients.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page and a logical heading order.
  • A "Skip to content" link and full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text and button colors chosen to meet WCAG contrast ratios.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Labels on every form field, and status messages announced to assistive technology.
  • Pages that work when zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
  • No time limits, auto-playing media or flashing content.
  • Our free tools work with a keyboard, and their results are announced to screen readers.

How we test

We review pages with automated tools (such as Lighthouse and WAVE), check keyboard-only navigation, and test on mobile devices before publishing changes. We plan to review the Site again at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes.

Known limitations

  • Portfolio screenshots are images of other websites. We describe each one in text, but details inside the screenshot itself can't be read by screen readers.
  • The client portal (design.bytecodeinsight.com) is older and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA yet. We're working on it; if you're a client and have trouble, contact us and we'll share your project updates another way.
  • Third-party services we link to (such as WhatsApp or domain registrars) have their own accessibility practices that we don't control.

Conformance status

We believe the Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the content meets the standard, and we are actively working on the limitations listed above.

If you have trouble using any part of the Site, or need information in a different format, please contact us. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll respond within 2 business days.
