Restaurant website checklist: 12 things every restaurant site needs
Menu, hours, ordering, Google Maps and more — a practical checklist to make sure your restaurant website turns hungry searchers into customers.

When someone searches "Cuban food near me" or "brunch in Winter Park," they decide in a few seconds — on their phone — whether to visit you. Use this checklist to make sure your website doesn't lose them.
The essentials
- A real web menu, not a PDF. PDFs are hard to read on a phone and Google can't read them well. Put dishes and prices on an actual page.
- Hours, including holidays. Front and center. Wrong hours are one of the fastest ways to lose a customer's trust.
- Address, map and parking. A tap-to-open map link and a line about parking save calls.
- Tap-to-call and WhatsApp. For reservations, large orders and quick questions.
- Order and reserve buttons. Link your online ordering, reservations or delivery partners from the top of the page.
What helps you get found
- Your Google Business Profile, fully filled in — with the same name, address, phone, hours and a link to your menu page.
- Your city and neighborhood in the text. "Puerto Rican restaurant in Kissimmee" helps you appear for local searches.
- Real photos. Your food, your space and your team — not stock photos. Compress them so the page stays fast (our free Image Compressor helps).
- Fast loading on mobile. Many diners search on mobile data. Every extra second costs visitors.
What builds trust and repeat visits
- Reviews. Show a few real Google reviews and make leaving a new one easy with a QR code on the table or receipt.
- Specials and events. A simple page for weekly specials, live music or catering keeps people coming back — and gives Google fresh content.
- English and Spanish, if your customers speak both. In Central Florida, a bilingual site can reach many more diners than an English-only one.
Bonus: own your orders
Third-party delivery apps are convenient, but they charge commissions on every order. Offering pickup or delivery through your own website — even alongside the apps — lets regular customers order from you directly.
