A. Local Browser Processing (Zero Server Uploads)

The vast majority of our tools process your files and inputs locally in your browser using client-side technologies (such as WebAssembly, HTML5 APIs, Canvas, and Web Cryptography). The following tools do not transmit any files or text to our servers or any third-party APIs:

  • Image Compressor & HEIC to JPG: All conversions and compressions happen entirely on your computer's CPU/GPU.
  • PDF Generator & PDF to Image: Your text, HTML, and PDF pages are processed within your browser memory.
  • Password Generator: Keys are generated using secure client-side random number generator APIs.
  • QR Code Generator: Codes are generated using local JavaScript libraries.
  • SRT to Text & Clean Transcript: Text processing, cleaning, and formatting happen 100% locally.

Since this processing occurs locally, your documents, images, and passwords never leave your device.

B. Remote Audio/Video Processing (Subtitle Extractor)

The Subtitle Extractor uses OpenAI's Whisper AI model running on our secure backend API. When you upload an audio or video file:

  • The file is sent securely using HTTPS encryption to our server.
  • Our backend processes the file in memory to transcribe the speech into text and generate the subtitle file.
  • Immediate Deletion: The uploaded file is deleted from our server immediately after the transcription is completed. We do not store, log, or keep your audio/video files.
  • No AI Model Training: Your files and transcripts are never used to train, retrain, or improve AI models.

C. Cookies, Advertising, and Monetization

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website to keep our services free of charge. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve personalized ads based on your previous visits to our website or other sites on the Internet.

  • You can choose to opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
  • For users in the European Union (EU) and California (US), we provide a Cookie Consent Banner (CMP) that allows you to accept, reject, or customize your advertisement tracking preferences before ads are served.

D. Children's Privacy

Our tools are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under this age limit, please do not use our services.

2. TERMS OF SERVICE

A. User Responsibility for Uploaded Content

You are solely responsible for the content and files you upload, input, or process through our tools. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to use and authorize the processing of such files. ByteCode Insight assumes no liability or responsibility for any copyright infringement, intellectual property violations, or illegal content processed or generated by users on this website.

B. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our tools (such as the QR Generator or Subtitle Extractor) to:

  • Create QR codes linking to phishing sites, malware, scams, or illegal material.
  • Process copyrighted material without the explicit consent of the owner.
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our hosting, API servers, or services.

C. DMCA & Copyright Infringement Takedown Notice

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on our site or processed through our services infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a takedown request to our designated agent by email at admin@bytecodeinsight.com. Your notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate the material;
  • Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate.

D. Tech News, Blog & Editorial Content Disclaimer

ByteCode Insight publishes articles, news reports, analyses, and blog posts concerning artificial intelligence, software development, venture capital, startups, and tech corporations. The following specific disclaimers apply to all editorial content:

  • No Medical or Health Advice: Reports summarizing scientific studies or AI advancements in clinical settings (e.g., AI performance in diagnostic studies or emergency rooms) are for general educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or health recommendation. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical concerns.
  • No Financial, Investment, or Legal Advice: Articles discussing startup funding rounds, corporate valuations, stock market trends, or IPO announcements (such as those concerning Nvidia, Cerebras, SpaceX, or other firms) are purely informational. E. IT Services & Custom Web Design Disclaimer

ByteCode Insight offers technical services including PC/Laptop maintenance, preventive tune-ups, hardware installation, data backup, home/business network setup, and custom web design (linked to design.bytecodeinsight.com). By requesting a service:

  • Mandatory Data Backup Policy: The customer is solely responsible for backing up all data, files, and operating systems before delivering any computer, laptop, or storage device to us for physical or logical repair. ByteCode Insight and its operators assume absolutely no liability for data loss, operating system corruption, or hard drive failure during diagnostic checks, maintenance, or repair.
  • Hardware Repair Disclaimer: We are not liable for pre-existing physical damage, electronic short-circuits, or component deterioration that manifests during disassembly or diagnostic testing of older, neglected, or damaged devices.
  • Web Design Subdomain & Quotes: Any quote, plan, or mock-up shared via WhatsApp, email, or our web design subdomain (design.bytecodeinsight.com) is non-binding until a formal, written Service Agreement is signed by both parties.

F. Trademark Disclaimer

All third-party trademarks, service marks, logos, and brand names appearing on this website (such as iPhone, Apple, macOS, Whisper, OpenAI, YouTube, Google, and others) are the property of their respective owners. ByteCode Insight is an independent portal and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the trademark owners.

3. DISPUTE RESOLUTION, ARBITRATION & CLASS ACTION WAIVER

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.

A. Mandatory Pre-Dispute Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal claim, arbitration, or lawsuit, you agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally. You must send a written description of your dispute, your contact information, and your proposed resolution by email to: admin@bytecodeinsight.com. You and the operators of ByteCode Insight agree to negotiate in good faith to resolve the dispute for a period of at least thirty (30) days from the date the email is received. A formal proceeding may not be initiated until this 30-day period has elapsed.

B. Binding Individual Arbitration

If a dispute cannot be resolved through the informal process described above, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the tools, the tech news, the IT services, or your use of the website shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in a court of law. The arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis; class, collective, or representative arbitrations are not permitted.

C. Class Action & Jury Trial Waiver

YOU AND BYTECODE INSIGHT AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Further, you waive any right to a trial by jury in any action, proceeding, or counterclaim arising out of or relating to these Legal Terms or the use of this website.

D. Arbitration Opt-Out

You have the right to opt out of the binding arbitration and class action waiver provisions within thirty (30) days of your first use of this website. To opt out, you must send a written notice by email to admin@bytecodeinsight.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and include your full name and a clear statement declaring that you opt out of the arbitration agreement.

4. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & GENERAL TERMS

A. Disclaimers of Warranties

All tools, information, blog articles, news, and services on ByteCode Insight are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Security Disclaimer (Password Generator): While our Password Generator uses cryptographically secure algorithms, no security measure is absolute. ByteCode Insight does not guarantee that the passwords generated will prevent unauthorized access. The user is solely responsible for securing their credentials and accounts.
Accuracy Disclaimer (Subtitle Extractor & Converted Files): We do not guarantee that the transcriptions, PDFs, or image conversions will be 100% accurate, error-free, or suitable for official, legal, medical, or critical business use.

B. Limitation of Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall ByteCode Insight, its owners, operators, partners, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, goodwill, hardware damage, or data loss occurring during IT maintenance.

In all circumstances, the maximum aggregate liability of ByteCode Insight and its operators for any claim arising out of or related to this website or services shall be capped at $100 USD or the total fee paid by you for the specific service in question, whichever is lower.

C. User Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ByteCode Insight, its owners, operators, developers, and affiliates against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the website, tools, or services, your violation of these Legal Terms, or your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

D. Governing Law & Forum Selection

These Legal Terms and any action related thereto shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of the website owner's operation, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these terms that is not subject to arbitration shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts located in the owner's jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

E. Severability & Entire Agreement

These Legal Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ByteCode Insight regarding your use of the website. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by an arbitrator or a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions of these terms shall remain in full force and effect.
