Your privacy is our top priority. We implement a strict data minimization policy: we do not collect, store, or sell any of your personal files, except for the temporary transmission required by our AI Whisper service.

A. Local Browser Processing (Zero Server Uploads)

The vast majority of our tools process your files and inputs locally in your browser using client-side technologies (such as WebAssembly, HTML5 APIs, Canvas, and Web Cryptography). The following tools do not transmit any files or text to our servers or any third-party APIs:

  • Image Compressor & HEIC to JPG: All conversions and compressions happen entirely on your computer's CPU/GPU.
  • PDF Generator & PDF to Image: Your text, HTML, and PDF pages are processed within your browser memory.
  • Password Generator: Keys are generated using secure client-side random number generator APIs.
  • QR Code Generator: Codes are generated using local JavaScript libraries.
  • SRT to Text & Clean Transcript: Text processing, cleaning, and formatting happen 100% locally.

Since this processing occurs locally, your documents, images, and passwords never leave your device.

B. Remote Audio/Video Processing (Subtitle Extractor)

The Subtitle Extractor uses OpenAI's Whisper AI model running on our secure backend API hosted on Railway. When you upload an audio or video file:

  • The file is sent securely using HTTPS encryption to our server.
  • Our backend processes the file in memory to transcribe the speech into text and generate the subtitle file.
  • Immediate Deletion: The uploaded file is deleted from our server immediately after the transcription is completed. We do not store, log, or keep your audio/video files.
  • No AI Model Training: Your files and transcripts are never used to train, retrain, or improve AI models.

C. Cookies, Advertising and Monetization

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website to keep our services free of charge. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve personalized ads based on your previous visits to our website or other sites on the Internet.

  • You can choose to opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
  • For users in the European Union (EU) and California (US), we provide a Cookie Consent Banner (CMP) that allows you to accept, reject, or customize your advertisement tracking preferences before ads are served.

D. Children's Privacy

Our tools are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under this age limit, please do not use our services.

2. TERMS OF SERVICE

By using ByteCode Insight, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

A. User Responsibility for Uploaded Content

You are solely responsible for the content and files you upload, input, or process through our tools. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to use and authorize the processing of such files.

ByteCode Insight assumes no liability or responsibility for any copyright infringement, intellectual property violations, or illegal content processed or generated by users on this website.

B. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our tools (such as the QR Generator or Subtitle Extractor) to:

  • Create QR codes linking to phishing sites, malware, scams, or illegal material.
  • Process copyrighted material without the explicit consent of the owner.
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our hosting or API servers.

C. Disclaimers of Warranties

All tools and information on ByteCode Insight are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Security Disclaimer (Password Generator): While our Password Generator uses cryptographically secure algorithms, no security measure is absolute. ByteCode Insight does not guarantee that the passwords generated will prevent unauthorized access. The user is solely responsible for securing their credentials and accounts.
Accuracy Disclaimer (Subtitle Extractor & Converted Files): We do not guarantee that the transcriptions, PDFs, or image conversions will be 100% accurate, error-free, or suitable for official, legal, medical, or critical business use.

D. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByteCode Insight and its owners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use our tools.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
  • Security breaches, data corruption, or server downtime.

E. Trademark Disclaimer

All trademarks, service marks, and logos appearing on this website (such as iPhone, Apple, Whisper, OpenAI, YouTube, etc.) are the property of their respective owners. ByteCode Insight is an independent portal and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the trademark owners.
